Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, Noorudding Azizi, departed for Russia on Wednesday to participate in an international economic Summit in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The 14th International Economic Summit, Russia-Islamic World, will be held on May 18-20, 2023, in Kazan, the capital of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan.
Meanwhile, the acting Minister Azizi will attend the 14th International Economic Summit, the ministry said in a statement.
The delegation from Afghanistan visited on Minnikhanov’s official invitation, the president of Tatarstan, the ministry said.
The statement also said the acting minister would meet with representatives from Russia and other countries and top business executives to promote investment in the country and facilitate trade between the two nations.
The summit aims to enhance trade, economy, science and technology cooperation and promote social and cultural ties between Russia and the Islamic world, Yini Safak News said.
Last year, the summit welcomed 6,000 guests from 64 countries; it will also hold this year the “Russia Halal Expo” and “Russia Halal Market” exhibitions, as well as the “Modest Fashion Day” fashion show for conservative clothing.
