A statement from the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said counter-narcotics police (ACNP) has captured and detained nine people in connection with drug trafficking in four separate operations across the country.
A drug processing factory was also discovered and destroyed in the Achin District of Nangarhar province.
The smugglers arrested in Herat three, four in Nangarhar, one in Balkh, and one in Daikundi.
According to the source, 91 kilograms of hashish,19 kilograms of opium, and some chemicals were seized from the detainees.
