Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah’s deputy spokesman Javid Faisal has resigned from his position ahead of nomination for the upcoming parliamentary elections.

A spokesman for the Chief Executive Office Dr. Mujeeb Ur Rehman Rahimi confirmed the resignation of Javid Faisal.

The parliamentary and district councils elections are due to be organized on 20th October this year.

The registration of the candidates for the upcoming parliamentary and district councils elections formally kicked off on Saturday across the country.

The Afghanistan Independent Election Commission Chief Gula Jan Abdul Badi Sayad told reporters that the nomination process has kicked off in the capital and all other provinces.
