The Afghan Air Force carried out an airstrike targeting a Humvee armored personnel carrier captured by the Taliban militants in western Farah province.
The 207th Zafar Corps of the Afghan Military in the West said the airstrike was carried out in the vicinity of Bala Bolok district.
The source further added that the airstrike left at least four militants dead while three others sustained injuries.
A pickup vehicle was also destroyed during the airstrike together with the captured Humvee armored personnel carrier, the Zafar Corps said.
The anti-government armed militant groups including Taliban militants have not commented regarding the report so far.
Farah is among the relatively calm provinces in West of Afghanistan where fewer security related incidents have taken place since the fall of the Taliban regime.
However, the anti-government armed militants have been attempting to expand their foothold and destabilize the province during the recent months and years.
The Taliban group launched a large scale attack on Farah city nearly one and half month ago but the Afghan forces managed to suppress the attack.
