The Afghan Air Force carried out a series of airstrikes in northern Faryab province which killed or wounded at least 51 Taliban militants.

The 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan National Army in the North said in a statement said the A-29 light attack planes of the Afghan Air Force bombed Taliban positions in Bulcheragh district.

The statement further added that the airstrikes killed 31 Taliban militants and wounded at least 20 others.

Furthermore, the 209th Shaheen Corps said the airstrikes also destroyed a compound of Taliban group, several vehicles and motorcycles and some military equipment in possession of Taliban.
