Afghan Interior Ministry on Monday announced at least 76 people were killed and injured following coordinated suicide bomb attacks in Afghanistan.

Taliban militants group launched chained suicide bomb attacks in capital Kabul, eastern Nangarhar, Logar and Paktia provinces of Afghanistan.

Afghan Interior Minister Bismillah Mohammadi while speaking during a press conference on Monday said, at least 37 Taliban militants were killed and injured following clashes yesterday.

Mr. Mohammadi further added, Taliban militants managed to enter an under construction buildings in capital Kabul using Burqas.

The attacks were launched in three different areas of capital Kabul including Darul Aman road, Pul-e-Charkhi and Sherpoor. Clashes started around 1 pm local time and continued till 8 am Monday morning.

Afghan Interior Minister Bismillah Mohammadi said 8 Afghan security forces were killed and 40 others were injured while 3 Afghan civilians were killed and 25 others were injured during clashes.

He also said, at least 36 Taliban militants were killed and 1 of them were detained in Jalalabad city.

According to Bismillah Mohammadi, the detained militant has confessed to his crime and said they are Haqqani Network members and had completed their trainings outside Afghanistan.

In the meantime Taliban militants claimed responsibility behind the attacks and claimed heavy casualties were incurred to Afghan security forces.
