At least 70 Ethiopians died after the boat they were using to illegally immigrate to Yemen drowned in Red Sea, officials said on Sunday.
Officials in Taiz province added that these people were being transported by human traffickers in unusable jerry-built small boat which capsized in bad weather conditions close to al-Makha port.
Human traffickers often smuggle Africans to Yemen which Africans believe as a gateway to the Middle East’s wealthier life.
