Afghan government resumed the well-known get-togethers initiated by vice-president Amrullah Saleh aimed at assessing the security of Kabul and instructing security institutions in this regard.
Amrullah Saleh had chaired over 100 meetings early in the morning but stopped the process for unknown reasons. The early morning meetings which were not conducted for over months not only aimed at security but all other city-related chaos.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has apparently taken the responsibility and chaired the first 6:30 get-together on Saturday in Presidential Palace (ARG).
President Ghani commended the process initiated by Amrullah Saleh and found the meetings rather fruitful not only in developing the security of Kabul but also in the cleanliness of the Afghan capital.
Ghani applauded the coordination created between the office of vice-president and various institutions of Kabul city and added the prestige of Kabul Police to be boosted after the initiative got started.
The Afghan government has apparently made security its top priority in the past two months. Banning motorcycles in Kabul city followed by Kandahar city, visiting corpses in different provinces, announcing a new six-month security scheme for Afghanistan, imposing night curfews in 31 provinces, and resuming the prominent early morning meetings are examples of the concentration.
