6 militants killed and detained in Paktika province

According to local authorities in eastern Afghanistan, at least three armed militants were killed and three others were detained in eastern paktika province.

Paktika provincial governor spokesman Mukhlis Afghan confirming the report said, a local Taliban commander is also among those detained by Afghan security forces.

In the meantime officials in the Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan following a press on Sunday announced, Afghan security forces seized weapons, ammunitions and explosives followign military operations at southern Kandahar and Helmand provinces.

The source further added, the weapons, ammunitions and explosives were seized by 205 Attal Afghan National Army Brigade following military operations at Maiansheen and Zherai districts.

According to the press release, the weapons, ammunitions and explosives include 3 rounds of mortar fires, 1 RPG propelled grenade, 52 rounds of PK-47 machine gun ammos and 1 M-16 rifle, 1 PK machine gun.

The officials also said, an Afghan National Army soldier was also killed following clashes with the insurgents during a military operation in southern Afghanistan.
