An explosion in Nangarhar targeted the country’s power distributor company’s ‘Da Afghanistan Breshna Shekrat’ (DABS) employees, sources told media.

Four employees of DABS were injured when their vehicle when an IED blast targeted a vehicle.

According to reports the incident took place at around 9 am local time in PD3 of Jalalabad city in Nangarhar province.

Two civilians including a woman were also wounded in the blast, all the injured individuals were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Local officials have not yet commented on the incident.

So far, no group or individual claimed responsibility for targeting DABS employees and civilians.

This comes as US and NATO troops are scheduled to withdraw from Afghanistan by September 11th, despite such a decision, the ensuing violence in Afghanistan has intensified.
