58 Palestinians killed in continued Israeli attacks on Gaza

Al Jazeera has reported that nearly 60 people have been killed and dozens more injured following recent Israeli attacks on a refugee camp in Rafah.

The news agency, citing health officials in Gaza, reported that the new wave of Israeli attacks on Rafah, the southernmost city of Gaza where over one million Palestinians have taken refuge, has resulted in dozens of deaths.

According to the report, the death toll from the attacks late Saturday and early Sunday was 58, while the Palestinian Ministry of Health, which operates under the Palestinian Authority, has declared the number to be 80.

In a report published on Sunday, the ministry stated that 81 people had been killed and 223 others injured in the past 24 hours.

Reuters, citing a civil institution in Gaza, also confirmed the attack on the refugee camp in Rafah, stating that at least 20 Palestinians were killed and dozens more injured as a result of the attacks.

It is noteworthy that since the beginning of the Israeli offensive on Gaza, October 7, 2023, to May 27, 2024, at least 35,984 people have been killed, and the number of injured has increased to 80,643.
