57 militants have been killed and 35 others wounded in fresh military operations across the country, a statement issued Saturday by the Ministry of Interior states.
According the Ministry of Interior statement the operations were jointly conducted by Afghan National Police, Afghan National Army and personnel from the National Directorate of Security in Herat, Ghazni, Helmand, Logar, Kunduz, Sar-e-Pul, Badakhshan, Faryab, Baghlan, Uruzgan, Zabul, Paktiya and Khost provinces in past 24 hours.
The statement adds that two militants were also arrested by security forces during these operations.
Afghan National Security Forces at the time are conducting at least 21 large-scale operations against militants in different parts of the country.
