According to the Ministry’s officials, 46,838 refugees returned via the Silk Road and 2,652 through the Islam Qala border crossing.
The Ministry said that 569 returnees have been introduced to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) office for assistance.

The Ministry officials claimed that hundreds of Afghan migrants return from Iran daily, and in the past two years, this number has exceeded two million refugees.
Moreover, the Ministry has announced that over 800,000 Afghan refugees returned from Iran in the past year.
Following the Taliban’s resurgence, numerous migrants leave Afghanistan due to economic hardships, persecution, security risks, and discrimination.
