
Afghanistan – Counter Narcotic Police of Afghanistan arrested at least five suspects over drug trafficking during multiple operations carried in several provinces of Afghanistan, the Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement Monday.
Authorities did not provide further details on the identity of the suspects, but said there cases have been referred to “relevant department” for thorough investigation through the case.
“CNPA arrested five suspects charged with drug trafficking, after CNPA carried several separate Counter-Narcotics operations in Kabul, Faryab, Parwan & Nimruz provinces,” said MoIA in a tweet.
The arrest came at a time Afghan residents raised concern over growing insecurities, including robbery extortion and kidnapping throughout Afghanistan.
