5 Afghan forces killed in a Taliban ambush in central Bamyan province

According to the reports, the Taliban fighters attacked the Kohmard police headquarter in Bamyan province overnight, a local official confirmed.

Sayed Anwar Rahmati, governor of Bamyan Province said that the Taliban militants launched an attack against Afghan security forces in Kahmard District of Bamyan at 02:00 pm last night.

According to Rahmati, at least 5 Afghan security force members have been killed and one has been wounded as a result of clash between the Taliban fighters and the Afghan security forces.

He stated that no reports of casualties from Taliban are available yet.

The governor said that the district government office and several security outposts are under the control of security forces, and Bamyan Police Chief is also in the area.

On the other hand, Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said in a Twitter statement that nine security forces were killed and two police HQ are under the control of the Taliban after a heavy clash between Taliban and security forces in Kahmard District.
