Taliban fighters2According to reports Taliban militants suffered heavy casualties during clashes with the public uprising forces in eastern Ghazni province of Afghanistan.

Leader of the public uprising forces Eng. Lotfullah Kamrani said at least 25 Taliban militants were killed and twenty others were injured during the clahes.

Mr. Kamrani further added the clashes started around 12am local time on Thursday night and continued until Friday morning.

The incident took place after Taliban militants launched coordinated attacks on public uprising forces in various villages in Andar district including Habib Kodul and Manar.

Eng. Lotfullah Kamrani also said at least one public uprising member was killed and two others were injured during the clashes.

In the meantime Qari Yousuf Ahmadi, a spokesman for the Taliban group said at least ten militia men were killed and thirteen others were injured in fight with the Taliban militants.
