27 civilians, killed in Taliban attack in Baghlan: MoI

The militants have killed or wounded at least 27 civilians during an attack in northern Baghlan province.

The Ministry of Interior in a statement said the Taliban militants attacked local civilians in Arakosh district on Friday night and killed 25 people.

The statement further added that the Taliban militants also wounded two others during the attack.

Local officials had earlier said the Taliban militants have killed or wounded 40 members of the public uprising forces in Nahrin district.

A senior official in Nahrin district confirmed that the Taliban militants killed 24 members of public uprising forces during the attack.

Furthermore, the Taliban militants wounded 9 other members of the public uprising forces, the official added.

Meanwhile, another official in Nahrin said the Taliban militants have killed at least 30 members of the public uprising forces.
