According to local authorities in eastern Ghazni province of Afghanistan, at least four Afghan civilians belonging to the same family were killed following a roadside bomb blast in this province.

The officials further added the incident took place late Tuesday night at the second district of eastern Ghazni city, killing four civilians and injuring another one.

Provincial governor spokesman Fazal Mohammad Sabawoon confirming the report said the incident took place after an Afghan civilian vehicle struck with a roadside bomb near Shams Baba pilgrimage.

He said the victims were residents of eastern Paktiya province and were on a tour to Ghazni province in order to visit the tomb of Shams Baba.

No group including the Taliban militants have so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.

Local officials blame Taliban group for such incidents as Taliban fighters frequently use improvised explosive device as the weapon of their choice to target Afghan and coalition security forces which normally leads to civilians casualties.
