Taliban militants killedAt least 37 Taliban militants were killed during joint military operations by Afghan national security forces.

The interior ministry of Afghanistan following a statement, said the operations were conducted by Afghan security forces in various provinces of Afghanistan during the past 24 hours.

The statement further added that 37 Taliban militants were killed, 5 militants were injured and 2 others were detained by Afghan security forces.

The operations were jointly conducted by Afghan police, Afghan army and Afghan intelligence in Kabul, Nangarahr, Parwan, Kunduz, SAr-e-Pul, Zabul, Uruzgan, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Farah and Helmand provinces of Afghanistan, the interior ministry said.

The ministry officials also added that Afghan security forces discovered and seized weapons, ammunition and explosives during the operations.

In th emeantime, Afghan police forces discovered and seized 13 improvised explosive device (IED) during operations in Kabul, Nangarahr, Daikundi, Balkh, Uruzgan, Khost and Helmand provinces, the officials said.

The Taliban militants group has not commented regarding the reports so far.
