According to local authorities in eastern Logar province of Afghanistan, at least 33 anti-government armed militants were killed following military operations by Afghan security forces in this province.

Provincial governor spokesman Din Mohammad said the militants were killed during clean up operations by Afghan security forces.

Mr. Din Mohammad further added at least 23 militants were also injured during the operations.

He said the operations were conducted last Wednesday in Mohammad Agha district.

At least four Pakistani nationals were also arrested during the operations, provincial governor spokesman Din Mohammad said.

Anti-government armed militant groups yet to comment regarding the report.
