32 Taliban militants join peace process in Kandahar province

Taliban militants killedAccording to local authorities in southern Kandahar province of Afghanistan, two groups of Taliban militants joined peace process in this province.

Panjwai district security chief, Sultan Mohammad said two Taliban commanders joined peace process along with their 30 fighters in Panjwai district on Monday.

Mohammad further added that the militants were carrying out insurgency activities in Zherai and Panjwai districts.

He said the two Taliban commanders, Mullah Juma Gul and Mullah Yousufullah joined peace process after a long period of time in southern Kandahar province.

According to Panjwai district security chief, Sultan Mohammad, the militants surrendered their weapons to the government and vowed not to take part in anti-government insurgency activities in the future.
