Officials in Georgia, USA, have confirmed that a shooting in Atlanta has tragically claimed the lives of three individuals. The incident involved an armed individual.

According to international media reports, this incident occurred near a store on Saturday. Authorities in the state have said that the attacker opened fire on three individuals, and the attacker himself succumbed to injuries due to their severity. Further details regarding the possible motive for this attack and the assailant’s identity have not been released.

In response to this attack, President Joe Biden of the United States condemned the increasing gun violence during a speech at the White House.

He emphasized the importance of passing legislation to prevent such violence. He stated, “If members of Congress refrain from passing gun violence prevention laws, we must elect new representatives, whether Democrats or Republicans.”

This incident comes when gun-related attacks in America have increased due to the proliferation of firearm purchases, resulting in hundreds of individual deaths and injuries annually.

Earlier, A gunman opened fire inside a medical building in Atlanta, USA, resulting in one fatality and four injuries, according to the Atlanta Police Department’s tweets. The suspect, 24-year-old Deion Patterson, was apprehended several hours later.

According to reports, in the past year alone, hundreds of people have been killed or injured in over 500 mass shooting incidents across various states in the United States.
