Three children aged between four to seven-year-old were cut off their heads inside their residence in Kabul on Wednesday.

The extremely shocking incident occurred in PD11 of Kabul city, an Afghan official told media.

Kabul residents hardened and wounded by decades of insecurity and war were astonished of such cruel act.

Ferdaws Faramarz, spokesman to Kabul police told associated press, the animosity is believed to be the result of personal enmity, he added, suspects are at large and have fled the area.

According to police no one has yet been in custody in connection of such horrible homicide.

The beheaded children’s parents, none of whom were at home at the time of the incident told police that “they have no enemies”.

The mother on condition of anonymity told police that she left her children home alone because she was participating in a funeral ceremony.

According to the report Two boys aged four and five, and a seven-year-old girl were beheaded following their return to home from school.

Mohammad Naeem, a family relative told said it appeared the culprit fed the children juice and biscuits before murdering them.

Domestic violence is believed to have triggered the murder spree.

There was no evidence of a break-in or forced entry to the residence.

The brutal killings of the three children raised strong reactions from the public and the officials.
