KAPISA, Afghanistan – The security officials have arrested at least three suspects for possessing undocumented arms and ammunition in Mahmood Raqi city of Kapisa, said the Ministry of Interior Affairs in a statement Monday.

According to the statement, officials seized at least one AK-47, one anti-vehicle mine, three rockets and some ammunition from Naw Abad area of the city.

“GCPSU, ANP & NDS operatives arrested three people along with one AK-47 rifle, one anti-vehicle mine, three rockets & some amount of ammunition in Naw Abad area, Mahmood Raqi City of Kapisa province,” said the MoIA in a tweet.

The arrest came at a time the Afghan government has tighten its security measures against all types of criminal offenses, including arm robberies, kidnapping and possession of undocumented guns, throughout Afghanistan.
