Gen. Zahir Azimi, spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan, said the four Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were martyred in the past 24 hours.
He also added that seven militants were killed and several others were injured during military operations conducted by Afghan army soldiers.
According to Gen. Azimi, the operations were conducted in four different provinces of the country.
Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers also confiscated various types of weapons, ammunition and explosives including 66 rounds of improvised explosive device (IED) during the operations, Gen. Azimi said.
In the meantime, the Ministry of Defense (MoD), in a separate statement, said at least three militnats were killed following a clearing operation in Chak district of Wardak and Barmal district of Paktia province.
The statement further added that an AK-47 rifle, a pistol and some explosives were also confiscated during the operations.
The anti-government armed militant groups have not commented regarding the report so far.
