The Taliban consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, has reported the release of 29 Afghan nationals from Pakistani police custody.
The consulate stated on Saturday, January 18, that these individuals were freed from a police station before being sent to prison.
The Taliban noted that these individuals were detained by Pakistani police despite holding valid migration cards.
According to the consulate, six other Afghan migrants were also freed from police custody a few days earlier.
Over the past two weeks, more than 80 Afghans have reportedly been released from Pakistani prisons.
