
At least 27 members of the Revolutionary Guards of Iran were killed in a suicide attack in Southeast of the country late on Wednesday.
According to the local media reports, a suicide bomber targeted a bus carrying Revolutionary Guards members in Sistan-Baluchistan province of the country leaving at least 27 dead.
This comes as reports had emerged earlier suggesting that the attack has left at least 41 people dead.
However, Iran’s Fars News Agency later reported that the attack has left 27 soldiers of the Revolutionary Guards dead and 13 others wounded.
The soldiers were reportedly returning from their duties and were on their towards their homes when the incident took place.
A group led by Summi militant group Jaish al-Adl has claimed responsibility for the attack.
