Three terrorists were killed during a security force operation in the Tank area of Pakistan’s northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said.
In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani army, announced that two soldiers were killed during an operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation on Saturday in response to the alleged presence of terrorists, the statement said.
“The killed terrorists had remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as innocent citizens,” said the ISPR.
“Sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area,” said the military.
In a similar incident, officials said three Pakistani soldiers were killed in a heavy exchange of fire between the security forces and militants in Zarghoon, Marget area of Balochistan province.
“The troops on the post retaliated readily to the fire raid, thereby pushing back the terrorists. However, in the ensuing heavy exchange of fire, three soldiers embraced shahadat while one terrorist was sent to hell by the security forces,” a statement said.
Unprecedented terrorist attacks have occurred in Pakistan during the previous two years, killing hundreds of law enforcement officers and ordinary Pakistani.
The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) terrorist organizations have recently carried out several devastating strikes.
Meanwhile, Pakistani officials said the government is determined to eliminate militant groups and maintain peace, stability and progress.
The Pakistani government has given terrorists so much leeway that they have begun attacking Pakistan’s army. Innocent individuals are suffering as a result of Pakistan’s government’s explicit support for terrorism.
