2 Killed, 6 Injured in Suicide Bomb in Northern Afghanistan: Official Says

At least two people were killed, and six others were injured when a car bomb detonated in the northern Afghanistan province of Badakhshan on Tuesday, officials said.

According to Mahazudeen Ahmadi, the head of the Information and Culture office, the blast occurred around 8:15 am local time on Tuesday, adding that the blast targeted a vehicle carrying Taliban deputy governor Mawlawi Nisar Ahmad Ahmadi. 

He said two people, including deputy governor Nisar Ahmad Ahmadi, were killed, and six others were injured in the blast.

Meanwhile, the injured have been transferred to the provincial hospital for medical treatment. 

No one has claimed responsibility for the blast so far. Further details are awaiting.
