Following the release of Afghan citizens from prisons in Iran and Pakistan, the head of the Nimroz Foreign Relations Office says that 193 Afghan citizens have been freed from Iranian prisons.
Yar Mohammad Haqyar, the head of the Nimroz Foreign Relations Office, said on Monday that 193 Afghan citizens imprisoned in Iran were released from the Al-Ghadir prison in Zahedan.
According to the statement, the mentioned prisoners were handed over to the Afghan embassy in Iran after their release.
The head of the Nimroz Foreign Relations Office has stated that the reason for the imprisonment of these individuals was the lack of legal permit documents and residency in the country.
Authorities of this country have emphasized that about 63 Afghan prisoners were also released from Iranian prisons last week and returned to Nimroz.
This comes at a time when the Afghan consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, reported yesterday the release of 99 Afghan citizens from Sindh province, Pakistan.
While the Taliban administration reports the release of a number of Afghan prisoners in Iran and Pakistan and their return to Afghanistan, the process of deporting Afghan migrants lacking legal documents from Iran and Pakistan continues.
