Taliban militants killedAt least 19 Taliban militants were killed during joint military operations by Afghan and coalition security forces across the country.

According to a statement released by the ministry of interior affairs of Afghanistan, the militants were killed during operations conducted by Afghan and coalition security forces during the past 24 hours.

The statement further added that the operations were conducted in Nangarhar, Uruzgan, Logar, Khost, Farah, Ghor and Helmand provinces of Afghanistan.

Interior ministry of Afghanistan also added that the operations were launched by Afghan police in coordination with the Afghan army, Afghan intelligence and NATO forces.

Afghan security forces also detained 10 Taliban militants during the operations, interior ministry said in it’s statement.

It also added that three improvised explosive device (IEDs) were discovered and seized along with some weapons and ammunition during the military operations.

Taliban militants group yet to comment regarding the reports.
