According to the Ministry of Public Health, in the past 24 hours, 5,070 suspected cases of Coronavirus have been tested in the ministry’s laboratories, out of which 1,804 have tested positive.
In the last 24-hour, 71 people have died due to Coronavirus, which makes a total of 3,683 death cases in Afghanistan since the start of the pandemic in the country.
This comes as with the rise of COVID-19 cases in Afghanistan, the Ministry of Health complains about the lack of facilities and oxygen in the hospitals.
Earlier this week, Uzbekistan donated 1,000 oxygen balloons to Afghanistan, but according to the acting Minister of Public Health, the balloons were all empty, it was a miscommunication and misunderstanding, Waheed Majrooh, the acting Health Minister said today.
Schools, universities and wedding halls are instructed to be closed for next couple of weeks until the situation changes in Afghanistan.
