18 rockets, 38 IEDs, large quantity of explosives destroyed in Farah airstrike

At least 18 rockts, 38 Improvised Explossive Devices, and a large quanity of explosives were destroyed during the airstrikes which were conducted in western Farah province.

The 207th Zafar Corps in a statement said the airstrikes were carried out by the Afghan Air Force in Khak-e-Safid district.

The statement further added that the airstrikes also destroyed 21 sacks of explosives and 4 remote-controlled mines.

The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented regarding the airstrikes so far.

Farah is among the relatively volatile provinces in West of Afghanistan. Taliban militants are active in some of the restive districts of the province they often attempt to carry out terrorist related activities against the government and security institutions.
