
At least 20 people were killed and up to 48 others were wounded in an explosion which targeted members of Hazara community in Quetta city of Pakistan.
Security officials confirmed that the incident took place earlier today in a market in the city.
General Abdul Razzaq Cheema, a senior police official in Quetta has said that the explosion was triggered by an improvised explosive device which was planted in a vehicle.
Gen. Cheema has further added that the explosion took place in Hazaraganji area, leaving at least 20 people dead.
He also added that eight members of Hazara community and Frontier Corps soldier were among those killed and four Frontier Corps were among those wounded.
No individual or group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
