16 loyalists of the terrorist group of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) that is locally known by its Arabic name Daesh have been killed in newest air strikes in eastern Nangarhar province.
Officials say two air strikes were conducted on Daesh positions in Abdulkhil and Bandar areas of Achin District leaving six militants killed.
One of those killed is identified as Qari Wahab, a commander of the terrorist group.
The third airstrike was carried out on a Daesh position in Gurguri area of Haska Mina District leaving 10 militants killed. Qari Hafizullah, a commander of the group is reportedly among the dead ones.
Two motcycles, ammunition and weapons belonging to the terrorist group were also destroyed in the air strikes.
There was no harm to civilians.
Nangarhar has turned into a hotspot of Daesh where it is trying to establish a regional command.
