At least 12 civilians were killed during an air raid in Nimruz province on Saturday night.

Mohammad Nasir, head of the Provincial council told Tolonews, that the strikes took place in Munazari Village in Khashrod District.

Nasir added, the “Taliban were also targeted but there are no reports on their casualties yet.” 

Local and security officials have not yet commented on the airstrikes.

Meanwhile, 215th ANA Corps said in a statement, that an investigation will be carried based on the civilian casualty reports.

“The Taliban were targeted in an airstrike and suffered heavy casualties,” the statement read.
