Afghan intelligenceThe Afghan Intelligence – National Directorate of Security (NDS) said Wednesday that the Afghan intelligence operatives foiled numerous terrorist attack plots in capital Kabul and other provinces.

Haseeb Sediqi, spokesman for the National Directorate of Security (NDS) told reporters that the attack plots were thwarted in the past one month.

Sediqi further added that the terrorist groups were looking to carry out at least 25 major attacks on key installations in the capital and other provinces.

He said Afghan intelligence thwarted a deadly attack plot in capital Kabul by confiscating 1,050 kg of explosives containing toxic materials from the 8th police district of Kabul city.

According to Sediqi, the explosives were transported to capital Kabul from Karachi port of Pakistan.

He said the toxic explosives were professional wrapped inside the used clothes and were transported to capital Kabul through eastern Khost province.

Sediqi accused the Haqqani terrorist network for plotting the attack with the help and direction of the regional intelligence agencies.
