Afghan army soldiers killed or injuredAt least four Afghan national army soldiers were killed and six others were injured following militants attack and roadside bomb explosion in northern and eastern Afghanistan.

Provincial security chief for Jawzjan, Gen. Faqir Mohammad Jawzjani said two soldiers were killed in Dawalatbad district following militants attack.

Gen. Jawzjani further added that the two Afghan soldiers were shot dead on Thursday morning by unknown gunmen riding a motorcycle.

The ministry of defense of Afghanistan following a statement said two Afghan national army soldiers were killed in separate incidents in eastern Kunar and Ghazni provinces of Afghanistan.

The statement further added that one soldier was killed in Nari district of Kunar province and the other soldier was killed in Andar district of eastern Ghazi province following improvised explosive device explosion.

Defense ministry in it’s statement also added that six Afghan soldiers were injured in separate incidents in Helmand, Kandahar and Ghazni provinces of Afghanistan.

The casualties of the Afghan national security forces have considerbaly grown after Afghan security forces took full combat lead from the NATO-led coalition security forces.

Taliban militants group frequently use improvised explosive device (IED) as the weapon of their choice to target Afghan national security forces.
