Two children killed in Ghazni explosion

Ghazni cityTwo children have been killed and four men wounded after a roadside landmine exploded on their vehicle in Ghazni province.

Karimullah Tolwak, governor of Deh Yak District says that the explosion took place in Sulaimanzai area this morning.

He said a “Flying Coach” vehicle in which civilians were traveling to the provincial capital ran over a Taliban-planted landmine leaving two children killed and four men wounded.

Taliban militants have not yet commented on the report.

Another explosion took place in the eastern part of the country this morning but did not cause casualties.

The bomb was placed in front of the house of a prosecutor in Daronta area, close to Jalalabad city, the provincial capital of eastern Nangarhar province.

It was believed to be a time-bomb that exploded when there was no person in the area.
