BaluchistanPakistan’s Baluchistan province is observing three days of mourning after unidentified gunmen gunned down 19 people last night.

Unknown gunmen stopped two passenger buses heading towards Karachi from Baluchistan and after checking their identification cards took hostage about 25 of them.

Officials say gunmen later shot dead 19 of them and still holding about six others.

The incident took place in Mastung district and officials say the kidnappers have taken the hostages to nearby mountains where security forces have launched an operation to recover them.

The driver of one of the buses who received wounds in the attack said that the gunmen signaled him to stop and when he did not stop then culprits fired on him.

Including labourers and traders, there were more than 25 passengers in these buses but the kidnappers have separated the group after checking their documents.

Those not harmed say the kidnappers were between 15-20 people and were wearing military suits.

The bodies of the nineteen people killed have been received by the security forces and transferred to hospital to ascertain their identity.
