Target killings continues in Ghazni province of Afghanistan

Faizanullah Faizan, a coordinator for the local uprising forces in Ghazni province said the two individuals were killed by unknown gunmen on Wednesday night.
Mr. Faizan further added the dead bodies of the two individuals were found in Band-e-Sarda area in Andar district.
Ghazni province located in eastern Afghanistan is among the volatile regions where Taliban militants are openly operating and carry out insurgency activities.
Several villagers following an uprising picked up weapons against the Taliban militants where several militants and villagers have been killed in recent clashes.
In the meantime Mr. Faizan said one of the deceased individual was an Afghan police officer and the second one was a member of the public uprising forces.
He said the deceased individual had recently joined Afghan national army and was beheaded by Taliban militants however Gen. Mohammad Hussain provincial security chief for Ghazni province said they are unaware of such an incident.
Mr. Hussin said Afghan police forces have launched investigation in this regard.
This comes as unknown gunmen during the Eid days assassinated five Afghan civilians in Andar district, who were on their way from Kandahar province to Kabul city.
