Taliban and ISIS hideouts targeted in deadly airstrikes and night operation

A series of deadly airstrikes were carried out by the foreign forces on ISIS hideouts in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan as the Afghan Special Forces conducted a special night raid on a hideout of the Taliban in the same province, leaving several militants dead, including a local leader of the Taliban.
The provincial government media office in a statement said the foreign forces jets and unmanned aerial vehicles targeted the ISIS hideouts in Achin district, leaving at least seven ISIS militants dead.
The statement further added that the airstrikes were carried out in Bandar, Deewana Baba, Wach Kot, and Nargos areas.
Several weapons of the terror group were also eliminated during the airstrikes, the provincial government added.
In the meantime, in another operation conducted by the Afghan Special Forces late on Friday night in Bati Kot district, at least three militants of the Taliban group, including one of their local leaders were killed.
According to the provincial government, the operation was conducted in Anbar Khana area of Bati Kot district.
The Afghan forces also arrested nine suspects during the operation and have taken them to custody for further investigations, the provincial government added.
The anti-government armed militant groups have not commented regarding the reports so far.
