Tajikistan hosts international conference on Afghanistan

The meeting is going to be held on Tuesday and will continue for two days under the name of “Conflict and Peace Building in Afghanistan: State and Prospects”.
According to a report, Peace and Accord Committee of Tajikistan, Regional Studies Centre of Afghanistan and the PolitKontakt Centre for Political Technologies have organized the meeting.
During the meeting, Political figures and experts rom Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Russia, Kazakhstan and Germany as well as diplomatic missions active in Tajikistan are going to discuss social, political and economic aspects of the conflict in Afghanistan.
During an interview with the Asia-Plus, Saifullah Safarov, deputy director of the Centre for Strategic Studies under the President of Tajikistan announced the meeting.
Mr. Safarov further added, from Afghanistan’s side Ahmad Wali Massoud, the brother Ahmad Shah Massoud, commander Abdul Hadi Khalid, Afghan MP Latif Pedram have been invited to join the meeting.
While, representatives from Russian and Kazakh Foreign Ministries are also invited to join the meeting.
Participating members are going to discuss peacekeeping and peace building in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. They will also seeek new parameters and will discuss international factors of the Afghan conflict.
