The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group has released a new propaganda video which purportedly shows the killing of two groups of Ethiopian Christians captured by its Libyan affiliates.
The 29-minute video appears to show the hostages executed in eastern Libya known as Barka province and the Fazzan province in the south.
A masked ISIS militant appearing in the video with a pistol in his hand says the Christians must convert to Islam or pay a special tax prescribed by the Quran.
The video which bore the logo of ISIS’s media arm, al-Furqan, resembling previous footage it has released, shows the captives are shot dead in the south while the captives in the east are beheaded on a beach.
At least 15 of the captives were beheaded and 15 others were shot dead by the militants.
This comes as the terrorist group released a video in February which shows the militants in Libya beheading 21 captured Egyptian Coptic Christians.
Militants loyal to the ISIS also claimed responsibility for an attack on the Corinthia hotel in the Libyan capital of Tripoli in January that left 10 people including an American and four other foreigners dead.
