Thursday, December 22, 2011 – According to reports, Afghan president Hamid Karzai on Thursday has ordered to dismiss the commissioner of the Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission along with a number of his colleagues.
The report was also confirmed by Nader Nadri that he has been aware of president Karzai’s decision but said that his dismissal from his position has not been formally announced yet.
The main motive behind president Hamid Karzai’s decision has not been independently announced by the Afghan government so far.
This comes as the Independent Human Rights Commission of Afghanistan was recently working to prepare a report which was said to blame a number of high ranking Afghan government officials being involved in corruptions and violation of human rights in the country.
The report of the Independent Human Rights Commission of Afghanistan has not been formally issued so far.
In the meantime, a member of the Afghan Human Rights Commission said, the indepenncy and authority of Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission will be violated if the dismissal of Mr. Naderi has any link with the recent report of this organization.
Officials in Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission earlier accused the Afghan government for being reckless in implementing the transitional justice programs.
Based on the transitional justice program violation cases relating to human rights and war crimes was supposed to be assessed and those involved behind the war crimes was supposed to be tried for their criminal acts which they have committed during the three decades of war in Afghanistan.
