President Hamid Karzai leaves Kabul for 3 day US visit

According to a statement released by Afghan president media office, Afghan president Hamid Karzai accompanied by a high level Afghan delegation left Kabul on Monday morning to visit Washington.
The source furhter added president Karzai is due to visit US president Barack OBama during his visit to Washington and other US government officials.
President Karzai will discuss security transition, economic and political related issues, equipment of the Afghan security forces, Afghan peaec talks and security agreement betweent the two nations, the statement said.
The statement also added that president Karzai will meet wounded Afghan spy chief Asadullah Khalid on Tuesday.
He is accompanied by Dr. Zalmai Rassoul Afghan foreign minister, Dr. Rangin Dadfar Spanta national security advisor, Gen. Bismillah Mohammadi Afghan defense minister, Hazrat Omer Zakhil Finance Miniter, Salahuddin Rabbani Afghan high peace council chief, Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai chief of the security transition commission and Abdul Karim Khuram head of the presidential office.
Ahead of his visit, Mr. Karzai met in Kabul with a delegation of visiting U.S. senators. His office said the meeting Saturday focused on a range of issues — including the security pact between the two countries and the peace process in Afghanistan.
