Kareena Kapoor may the official brand ambassador for Sony Ericsson, Airtel and Head and Shoulders, and she may have starred in box-office hits like “3 Idiots” and “Jab We Met,” but she is still not the richest girl in Bollywood according to the Times of India.
The richest girl of Bollywood is none other than the ever energetic and cheerful – Preity Zinta, according to figures. Preity Zinta has been adjudged so on the basis of her moolah churning IPL team as well as reports of Zinta being the heiress to Shandar Amrohi. Stake of Preity Zinta in the IPL team ‘Kings XI Punjab’ alone is appreciated at around Rs 350 to Rs 400 crores. However, some cricket experts say the figure is higher than that.
According to a TOI report, Preity’s stake in her cricket team alone is valued at around Rs 350 to Rs 400 crores. Experts think that the number is much higher.
Additionally, she is also the legal heir of Shandar Amrohi who is one of the owners of the Kamalistan Studios (previously owned by Meena Kumari and Kamal Amrohi). The property is valued at hundreds of crores and seems to be an eye candy in real estate.
Preity broke into show business after being featured in the Cadbury Perk’s commercial. She went on to become the Liril girl and starred in various other ads. She broke into the film industry in 1997. She had a role in the film “Tara Rum Pum Pum.” The film was actually cancelled and never released but it still jumpstarted Zinta’a film career.
In 1998, her acting breakthrough came in the film “Dil Se.” That same year she starred in “Soldier” where she won the Filmfare Best Debut Award.
Since the perky Bollywood actress is currently travelling with her team & has no time to even breathe, news reports suggest that she will build on her other dreams eventually.
