Over 400 Jalalabad youths participate in anti-graft race

Race JalalabadThe International Anti-Corruption Day was marked in Afghanistan by a group of more than 400 youths participating in a 5km race in eastern Nangahar province of Afghanistan on Friday.

Provincial governor for eastern Nangahar province of Afghanistan Gul Agha Shirzoi also attend the race along with several other youths in a bid to promote a culture of volunteerism, and Coordination, unity and soldiery of Afghan people and civil society organizations.

This year the AACN with the support of more than 200 volunteer civil society, media and private organizations will hold one of the biggest race in the history of Afghanistan in the 5 provinces of the country, where 3000 youth and athletes voluntarily participate in the countrywide 5 KM race against corruption.

Similar successful races held in Heart, Bamyan and Balkh provinces of Afghanistan, where hundreds of men and women expressed their hate and frustration against corruption by taking part in the historic 5 Km race against corruption.

Afghan Anti-Corruption Network is the first and largest volunteer, social, non profit, non political and nongovernmental organizations and activists’ network, which has been established based on article 35 of the constitution of Afghanistan to support transparency, the role of law and strengthen the civil society in order to fight against corruption.
