New Election commissioners introduced by president Karzai

Tuesday, December 27, 2011 – Afghan president Hamid Karzai elected three new commissioners for Afghanistan Independent Election Commission.
A former Afghan governor is also among the newly elected commissioners of the Afghan Independent Election Commission.
Introduction of the new commissioners in Afghan Independent Elections Commission of Afghanistan comes amid growing objections regarding the operations of this organization for being failed to deal with the Afghan government in certain cases.
The Independent Election Commission of Afghanistan is being funded by the International Community.
Two former Afghan parliament members are also among the newly elected members of the Afghan Independent Election Commission.
Rida Azimi representing the northern Parwan province and Syed Hashim Folad representing the eastern Nangarhar province in Afghan House of Representatives in the past are the new members of the Afghan Independent Election Commission while Ghulam Dastagir Azad the former governor of western Nimroz province is the third member being introduced by Afghan president Hamid Karzai.
In the meantime a spokesman for the Independent Election Commission of Afghanistan said, at least three members of this organization ended to their mission after their contracts were while the two others extended their contracts.
The Afghan Independent Election Commission is comprised of seven members.
