NATO soldier killed in Taliban attack in E. Afghanistan

The statement did not disclose further information regarding the exact location of the incident and nationality of the deceased soldier however troops mainly from United States are based in eastern provinces of Afghanistan.
International Security Assistance Force generally do not disclose identities of the NATO soldiers killed in Afghanistan saying, “It is ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities.”
This comes as a British soldier was killed following armed clashes with the Afghan national army soldiers in southern Helmand province of Afghanistan on Sunday.
Local officials in Helmand province said the incident took place during a verbal clash between Afghan and British troops in Nad-e-Ali district.
At least 379 NATO troops including 288 US troops, 44 British troops and 47 soldiers from the other NATO member countries have been killed in Afghanistan since the beginning of 2012.
